Local heroes

This term we will be learning about 'Local Heroes'.

Anyone could be a local hero. It might be a swimming instructor, a nurse, someone who collects our rubbish or a student that does 'road patrol' duty.
A local hero is someone who helps others so we make the community a safer and happier place.
It could even be you? What do you do to be a local hero?

We then threw them off the balcony to see how far they would go.

Duffy Books

Today we had an Assembly with the Duffy Books Role Models, Tayla and Matt.
We all got two books which we will be able to read over the holidays.

Ezrah's Home Learning Playground project.

Ezrah has created an amazing playground for his Home Learning project.
He turned an old coke bottle into a ship.
He has also created a Zipline.
What an incredible piece of work.

ANZAC Ceremony

Rico is proudly showing us his Grandad's war medal.
He is going to wear it today at our special ANZAC Assembly.

Term 1.

We have had a very busy Term 1.

We have done lots of writing and maths and had quite a few tests.
We had swimming at the Papatoetoe Pools and learnt a lot about our community in the 'Belonging' topic.

We have got our Duffy Books which we will read over the holidays.

We hope you all have an exciting and enjoyable holiday. We will.
